The highest prevalence of food insecurity in Haiti is in the North, where up to 42 percent of households do not have reliable access to affordable, nutritious food. 

MPA is a women’s peasant organization in Haiti that began in 1984 in response exploitation of women farmers. Women Thrive has helped MPA achieve their goals of lifting the voices of the rural farming population to key decision-makers but there is still work to be done.
