Great news! TV’s Mayim Bialik has joined the No1Nowhere campaign to stop violence against women and girls.

According to the World Health Organization, 35 percent of the world’s women and girls will experience physical or sexual gender-based violence t some point in their lives.

That’s 1.2 billion people — roughly equal to the total number of men, women, and children who were alive on planet earth in the year 1850.

Women Thrive and our allies are working to stop violence against women and girls. Please submit your #No1Nowhere photo today so we can make sure Congress knows that you demand action to make the world a safer, freer place for women and girls.

Baltimore punk rockers War on Women are taking a stand: #No1Nowhere should have to live in fear of gender-based violence.

Take a picture and take a stand. Submit your #No1Nowhere photo.

We’ll post your photo online and print and display the best pictures at a Capitol Hill reception in May aimed at building support for the International Violence Against Women Act (H.R. 3571).

You can learn more about violence against women and girls on the Women Thrive website.

Last week, Kelly Sue DeConnick and the Carol Corps gave our No1Nowhere campaign to raise awareness on violence against women and girls a HUUUUGE signal boost.

But… we still need pictures for our Capitol Hill reception.

Please consider submitting YOUR picture, so we can print it and display it in Washington, DC to let Members of Congress know that you want action to reduce violence against women and girls.

It’s pretty easy to submit a picture like this:

  1. Write “No1" on one of your arms and "Nowhere" on the other (Pro-tip: use a washable marker or body paint for best results. Pink works especially well!)
  2. Cross your arms as in the photo above
  3. Have someone snap a picture
  4. Upload it to Tumblr, Flickr, Instagram, Twitter or your favorite photo sharing website and tag it #No1Nowhere; and
  5. Submit your photo on the No1Nowhere website.

And just in case you need a little inspiration…
